Fashion For Profit – Consulting - Frances Harder Founder/CEO
Frances Harder authored and published a series of books dealing with starting a fashion business. She consults and speaks internationally on product development, branding, merchandising, production and entering the US market. She also serves as an industry expert in legal disputes and is an adjunct professor at Cal Poly Pomona and serves on the Dean’s advisory board.
Presents on a variety of topics and moderates at many international trade shows both within the US and Internationally.
In 1999 she foundered the FBI (Fashion Business Incorporated), an educational not for profit 501c3 organization, which provided vital business development, resources, and certified job training programs to both the US, and to the International apparel industry. Closed in 2017 to relaunch under Fashion for Profit Consulting platform as a for profit entity in 2018.
She studied Art and Fashion in the UK. Some of her professional accomplishments include having her name under license in Japan, designing for the Royal House of Brunei and designed two lines for Priscilla Presley that where sold on Home Shopping Club. Her last teaching position was for 9 years as a full time Associate Professor at Otis College of Art and Design, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (8 years).

Meet Terance Coffee

Terance Coffee’s first job was a programming research position with CBS NETWORK. His market analysis and psychographic data compilation assignments would augur the rest of his eight and half years of professional work in events planning.
A year later, Terance joined Macy’s as their Regional Specialist Event Planner position. His coverage area included all of the east coast and Puerto Rico, 15 major markets and more than 100 stores. During one stretch, he was assigned the grand opening of five stores in five weeks in five different locations, supervising the settling in of Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Sean John, DKNY and Kenneth Cole among others. He handled bookings for the likes of Vogue, Seventeen and IMG during that six-year stint. They all continue to rely on his consultation work for many of their east coast ventures to this day. In October 2004, he took his events planning aptitude from retail to broadcast, with similar success. He accepted the marketing and promotions position for radio power WRKS, 98.7 Kiss FM also in New York. He managed all on-air and street promotions. In 2006 he has expanded events and promotions to include sales, effectively so, as he has now moved over to the highly reputable advertising firm, UniWorld Group Inc. as an Account Executive. He lead the events team at Coney Island USA. He plans their annual galas, opening night film festival party, Mermaid Ball (the official after party to the Mermaid Day Parade). Currently he is an adjunct professor at Fashion Institute of Technology and the Laboratory Institute of Technology assisting young and aspiring fashion and events planners in their pursuit of careers in the, world of promotions. Between the two colleges he teaches-Event Marketing, Fashion Show Production, Event Planning I & Advance Event Design Concepts and Fashion Styling. He also the founder of TC Event Experience. When he finds a moment away from harried collective, he enjoys time with family and friends, travel, fitness and acting. He is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. |
